DINNERWAREMore

It is necessary to know the methods to protect your dinnerware sets.
Dinnerware
1. Porcelain is a heatproof material, and can withstand the oven temperatures, thus is suitable for use in the ovens.
2. If your dinnerware bears the mark «dishwasher safe» even if it is decorated with precious metals, it can be placed in the dishwasher. Just make sure that you place the items carefully so that they do not get damaged during the wash cycle.
3. Use special care when washing your formal dinnerware on hand. Use a soft wash cloth and avoid using any scrubbers as it may damage the goldpalted parts.
4. Dinnerware sets with precious metals (gold or platinum) are not microwave safe.
5. Be extra careful with decorated dishes with metals. In order to store them, it is advisable to use a soft cloth between each plate to prevent scratching.
6. Do not expose your dinnerware in abrupt temperature changes; make them gradually from cold to hot.

STAINLESS STEEL FLATWARE CARE

1. All flatware should be washed immediately after being exposed to food containing acid or chloride (e.g. salt, vinegar, mustard, lemon, certain dietary products), toxics or food containing sulfate (e.g. eggs, mayonnaise, vinaigrette sauce, sea food). Food deposits , in particular acid (egg, vinegar, fruit etc) can attack the material and cause corrosion.
2. Flatware may be cleaned in the dishwasher. Place knives together with the handle down into the basket in order to avoid scratches.
3. If you want to hand wash them, use a soft wash cloth and don’t use any sponges containing metal fibers as they will damage the polished surface.
4. Wash silver flatware separately from stainless steel, as a chemical reaction may occur and cause a discoloration.
5. Rinse flatware after washing and dry immediately. Never leave flatware for long periods and never damp.
6. Use a soft cotton towel to dry.
7. Do not leave flatware on hot surfaces as it will cause discoloration.
Follow the same care instructions for your flatware with plastic handles.
